Paul Titterton is our Publicity Officer. He is 69 years old and married to Norma, the Circle's Treasurer. They have a grown up son & daughter.

Now retired, he has more time to follow other interests, including walking, and playing & listening to music (Organ, Pipe and Electronic). An interest in municipal tram and bus systems has created a niche market in acrylic and oil painting subjects for him over the last 25 years.

Lynne says she has been a member of the Art Circle since the Atlas Mill days, which is longer than she cares to think about..

She is a keen dog walker in all weathers and tries to capture in her sketchbooks those special atmospheric moments which all walkers chance upon. Her sketches then form the basis of her studio works in water colour or mixed media.

	George Hull, our Chairman, is married with two children (who he rarely sees). Between meetings of the Art Circle he passes his time at the local Cricket Club and Allotment Society (beans a speciality), and also does housework and chauffeuring at the bequest of his wife Lesley. He paints in watercolour and claims to have sold at least two pictures during his career. July 2003
	Norma Titterton has been our Treasurer since Christmas 2003. She is married to Paul, our Publicity Officer. They are both keen walkers and organise many events for our Circle. March 2005
	Roland Arthur has been Secretary since 1991, and even one year, Chairman as well, . When he can find time, he likes to "paint" portraits in coloured pencil and pastel. Both his mother Edith (1905-2004) and sister, Valerie Harbird, (1934-2005) were prolific artists. His wife Pat finds time to paint in watercolour and pen and ink in between family commitments which take much of her time. Roland and Pat are also very actively involved with other Charitable organisations . They have two daughters, Denise Ruth Jackson in Tayport, Fife and Jill Bush in Sheffield, and two grandsons, Jacob and Ben. May 2005

	Ted Holden is our "occasional" Representative on the Highfield Hall Committee. Ted is a prolific artist who likes to experiment with all kinds of media. He also enjoys encouraging people to "have- a -go" at art. May 2005

	Committee Member Bill Laithwaite has been a member since February 2005. He is married, has a son and daughter, both married, and two grandsons. As relative newcomers to B.A.C., both Bill and his wife Pam are regular Thursday night attenders who enjoy painting in watercolours. Bill has been a member of the Bolton Lions Club for many years and devotes a lot of his time to charity work. His other pastimes are dancing and walking. May 2007
	Committee Member Ena Mann has been with us since March 2000 and became a Committee Member at the 2007 AGM. She took over the job of Auditor (from Tom Grime) in January 2008 With her husband Rod, who is also a keen artist, she is a member of Horwich Art Group, where she is also their Treasurer. 	Membership Secretary, Kevin Gillibrand was born in Salford, but ‘emigrated’ 44 years ago to Tyldesley. He is married with three children, nine grandchildren & one great grandchild, recently retired from a small engineering company in Bolton where he was Engineering Design Director. He has been painting for 10 years and prefers painting in watercolours. Besides being Membership Secretary, Kevin's other interests include crown-green bowling, going to the theatre, bird watching and walking. June 2007
	June Catterall is our Demonstrations Secretary and has been a Circle member for over 20 years Between looking after her grandchildren, with her husband Richard, she finds time to paint in watercolours. May 2007
	Charles MacDonald is our North West Federation of Art Societies Representative. He is also the Vice Chairman and Exhibitions Officer for the Federation. September 2007
	Aruna Mene became a Bolton Art Circle Member in October 2007 and a Committee Member in April 2008. She paints in Acrylic, but her forte is fabric collage and mixed media. A self taught artist, Aruna also enjoys dress making , interior designing, classical music & reading. She is a Sitar player and enjoys travelling to exotic places in the world, particularly in search of wild life. She has travelled to more than 40 countries at the last count!. She is also actively involved in fund raising for many charities. Aruna (MBBS.,DCH.,MD.,FRCPATH) tries to fit in all these activities whilst working as a full time hospital consultant in Royal Blackburn hospital. Aruna’s husband is a GP in Manchester and they have 2 grown up children. May 2008
	Jean Faulkner is our Social Secretary. Jean attended art school age thirteen for two years and whilst there she had plenty of drawing practice. Since then she has always involved herself in creative activities. It is only since retiring and moving to Bolton in 2002 and joining the Art Circle, that she started painting more seriously, mainly using watercolour. Jean has three sons and six grandchildren who keep her busy. Her other hobby is gardening. May 2006

	Jean Steele
	Paul Gerrard, who has been a Committee Member for several years, joined the Circle in 1996 and is married with three grown-up children. He is also our Vice-Chairman. Self taught, he paints mainly in watercolour. Local landscapes and Interior Industrial scenes are particularly favourite subjects. Paul also does Graphite Pencil Portraits, and other suitable subjects for this alternative favourite medium of his. Several awards from Bolton Art Circle Exhibitions have been achieved in recent years, culminating in the purchase of a painting of a local scene by Bolton Metro Art Gallery for their permanent collection. 	Ian Trotman became a Committee Member during 2007, having joined Bolton Art Circle in 1999. He says he has tried several painting mediums, but these days concentrates mostly on pastel portraits. Ian enjoys photography and uses photographs as a basis for his portraits. He is also interested in digital imaging and uses his computer to work out compositions before producing a pastel picture.
